If you’ve ever been driving down Carroll St between 7th and White Settlement and wondered what happens at the fenced in with crushed granite, picnic tables, and a stage behind Doc’s Record’s, well I might have an answer for you.
That area, also known as Inspiration Alley, is part of the Foundry district. At least once, sometimes twice a month, it’s used for Thursday on the Rocks; a gathering of local vendors and a couple of bands to set up and enjoy the summer evenings. This week saw Katie Robertson and Vodeo take the stage.
From the Facebook event page:
The Foundry District is excited to announce Thursday on the Rocks — Fort Worth’s newest summer music series for rock n’ roll lovers.
Guest will enjoy outdoor picnic tables lined with arts & crafts where they can sit and revel in the nostalgia of childhood art projects. Local art vendors will be set up in Inspiration Alley, along with a beer & wine cash bar to quench that Thursday night thirst. An acoustic opener and Rock n’ Roll headliners are scheduled to play on a stage in front of Fort Worth’s most Instagram-friendly spot; Inspiration Alley. Meet the musicians, enjoy the art, support local.
