OUT TODAY VIA BIG BEAT RECORDS
The genre-blending and recently Grammy nominated producer – Wuki – has put his signature spin on Slayyyter’s beloved single “Daddy AF”, which is out today alongside the seductive music video. LISTEN/WATCH here.
Already co-signed by Grimes, Charli XCX and other pop titans, the world is making room for a new voice that you soon won’t be able to ignore: her name is Slayyyter. Clearly influenced by the internet and meme culture at large, and with social media posts that harken back to the glory days of MySpace and AIM, Slayyyter’s music also draws inspiration from early 2000’s reality show personalities like Heidi Montag and Courtney Stodden. The 22-year old artist hails from St. Louis, but her cult following is spreading around the world like a wildfire.
Wuki is the solo project of Los Angeles-based producer Kris Barman. Influenced by the sounds of Detroit ghettotech and Chicago footwork scenes, Barman’s ability to seamlessly mix booty, breaks, electro, and house into hard-hitting club-shakers has become a trademark of the Wuki sound. The ever evolving Wuki has done official remixes for some of Electronic Music’s top artists including for Miley Cyrus, The Chainsmokers, RL Grime, Kill The Noise, Galantis, and many more. Wuki is showing no signs of slowing down as he currently gears up for his debut album while on his co-headline ‘Ro Sham Bo’ tour with Nitti Gritti (get tickets here), so keep an eye out for much more to come.
