RICKY REED-PRODUCED “TRUTH HURTS” BY LIZZO TOPS BILLBOARD HOT 100 FOR FOURTH CONSECUTIVE WEEK FIRST #1 FOR LIZZO, REED AND NICE LIFE RECORDING COMPANY
Grammy-nominated producer Ricky Reed has earned his first #1 record with Lizzo’s hit “Truth Hurts.” The song has remained at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for four consecutive weeks, and also marks the first #1 for Lizzo and Reed’s label, Nice Life Recording Company (via Atlantic Records). Reed met and began working with Lizzo in 2015, eventually signing her to Nice Life and producing her Coconut Oil EP, which debuted in 2016. “Truth Hurts” was originally released in September 2017 and was belatedly included on Lizzo’s 2019 debut-full length, Cuz I Love You, for which Reed also produced. Also this year, Reed executive produced the Game of Thrones tribute album, For The Throne (Music Inspired by the HBO Series Game of Thrones), producing and co-writing eight of the 15 tracks. He also produced The Wrong Man, a concept album based on the Off-Broadway musical of the same name developed and written by Ross Golan and directed by Tony Award-winning Hamilton director Tommy Kail. Additionally, Reed is back in the studio with Leon Bridges, whose Grammy-nominated album, Good Thing, he executive produced. Further projects to be announced soon. Ricky Reed is a multiplatinum producer known for his work with Twenty One Pilots, Halsey, Maggie Rogers, Bomba Estereo, Kesha, and many more. More information in his bio HERE. |
